The retrofit package of the automation consisted of PLC and touch screen Monitor, development of software program depending upon the functioning of existing control contactors, timers.The Centralized Hardware panel for combined operation of various sections that constitute a complete blow room line has been reduced to an Allen Bradley PLC and 10” Touch screen Monitor and few power contactors.

Trouble-free Operation :
Now Raymond’s have overcome the problems occurring to the failure of the hardware circuit, which can illustrate as given below It was cumbersome to detect a particular problem, if it is due to contactor, a timer, wiring fault or failure of limit switch/photo sensor etc. It would involve wastage of precious working hours of the machine. This would definitely put your next process standstill if longer time were involved in solving the problem.
Now see how automation system will minimize this time, an error message would appear on the screen/display, for e.g.: a failure in limit switch, a photo sensor or motor no. 1 overloaded etc. With this information an engineer, electrician or in some cases even a machine operator would be able to sought out the problem.
Operational Simplicity :
As in conventional cases, there are no. of preselector, pushbuttons involved. The operator has to carefully see the indications carefully and if any lamp does not light and still process runs, it would create confusions. The automation is provided with a touch screen display. The most of the operation are on keys provided on display where colour indicates the state of operation.
